Reveries is a collection of five short works for marimba. A reverie is the act of being lost in thought; a day dream. It can also be described as a meditative state of being. My goal was to evoke this concept musically with each short work. The first reverie pays homage to minimalist music, while the others use Indian music compositional techniques and scales.
