'Spiritual Gifts' for percussion quartet
'Spiritual Gifts' is a multi-movement percussion quartet written for Dead Resonance. The work is inspired by Isaiah chapter 11 and specifically verse 2 from the Holy Bible which reads, "And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD." This verse is portrayed in each of the movements of the piece.

Instrument List –
Player 1 – Glockenspiel, 4 Chinese toms, Triangle, Crotales on field drum
Player 2 – Xylophone, Bongos, 4 Glass bottles graduated in pitch, Goat toe rattles
Player 3 – Vibraphone, 4 Log drums, Wrist bells, Almglocken (choose the lowest octave you have of the written pitches)
Player 4 – Marimba, Concert bass drum on it’s side (multi-bass), 5 Tibetan prayer bowls graduated in pitch, and large glass prayer bowl
